A pack of 5 Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, 30ml each.
The difference between regular sterile water and bacteriostatic water lies in the fact that sterile water is pure, intended for single use, most commonly for dissolving medications or rinsing wounds. In contrast, bacteriostatic water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol (which prevents bacterial growth), allowing it to be used multiple times (from the same vial).
Scientists use bacteriostatic water in their experiments precisely because it acts as a bacteriostatic agent, thanks to the addition of benzyl alcohol.
It is best stored in a closed space at room temperature (never in the freezer). After use, it should be properly sealed and not used after 28 days once opened (unless the manufacturer’s instructions state otherwise).
